Good question. Let's go with lang/de/assets/img in parallel with the top structure.

I've been thinking we may want to have the GitHub hosted repo version contain links to assets hosted on GitHub by default. It will be a stable online source for these files (acting like a CDN) and people can always choose to host the assets on their own hub if they know how to change the URLs in the source files.

I dislike it. Because Hubzilla-Website and all clones/instances of it with links to assets hosted on GitHub are useless, when Github is down. And secure data concept of Hubzilla is useless, when Github can watch all Hubzilla-user. Thanks to links to assets hosted on GitHub :|.

It's no more a vulnerability than hosting the Hubzilla git repo itself on GitHub. The page is public in this case, and the use of HTTPS places the trust primarily in GitHub, which is trustworthy historically.

Let's hold this discussion until we settle the basic page mechanics. The way I have it structured now, I think the lang folder might be unnecessary.
