Sorry, but that is not what the page you liked to says at all - you are mixing two things together when it says OR, i.e. one of them. It says

Conditional Execution

You can use an 'if' construct to make decisions. These are currently based on system configuration variable OR the current observer.

    [if $config.system.foo]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo evaluates to 'true'.
    [else]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo evaluates to 'false'.
    [/if]

    [if $observer]
        ... this content will only be show to authenticated viewers
    [/if]

    The 'else' clause is optional.

    Several tests are supported besides boolean evaluation.

    [if $config.system.foo == bar]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo is equal to the string 'bar'
    [/if]
    [if $config.system.foo != bar]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo is not equal to the string 'bar'
    [/if]
    [if $config.system.foo {} bar ]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo is a simple array containing a value 'bar'
    [/if]
    [if $config.system.foo {*} bar]
        ... the configuration variable system.foo is a simple array containing a key named 'bar'
    [/if]

In your Comanche layout, you can then do something simple like show one block to an authenticated member and another block to an un-authenticated member

Also instead of

works [observer=0/1][/observer] for me in the webpage. But i want for example display [observer.webname=parlehaakon]content for parlehaakon[/observer] and not display for other visitor. How I check [observer.webname]== parlehaakon? Can you post an example for $config.system.foo -value?

I tested this layout-code with Hubzilla-Version 2.5

but the webpage display allways the non-Hucope -block, although I logged in with observer.webname == hucope. Why?

$observer is the name of one variable, it does not take arguments. $config is another variable, which does take arguments in the dot-notation format. You are not supposed to mix like you do - use either just $observer or just $config.system.something - I do not know what that something is, just that your syntax is incorrect.


 [if $config.system.foo]

Thank you for explanations. But I find here https://hub.libranet.de/help/member/member_guide#Personal_Cloud_Storage any example for $config.system.foo . Can you post an example for $config.system.foo? Or better example, how can I check if observer with webname 'hucope' is logged in?

On your server, you have a utility in util/config , which you can use to list system configuration and you can also use util/pconfig to list the settings of a channel.


Gets, sets, or lists site-wide configuration settings.
Usage: util/config 
       util/config <family>
       util/config <family> <key>
       util/config <family> <key> <value>
  util/config
    Displays all config entries
  util/config <family>
    Displays all config entries for family (system, database, etc)
  util/config <family> <key>
    Displays single config entry for the specified family and key
  util/config <family> <key> <value>
    Set config entry for specified family and key to value and display result
Notes:
  Setting config entries which are manually set in .htconfig.php may result 
  in conflict between database settings and the manual startup settings. 
  For channel-specific configuration settings, use util/pconfig

that $config.system.foo -settings are adjustable only via https://hub.freecommunication.org/util/config -URL in browser? Bevore allowed the admin the access for util -folder in .htaccess -file?
that the $config.system.foo -values are saved at database? Not in filesystem in Hubzilla -folder?

No, config is a command line utility installed on your server - you need to login to a command line console on your server to use it.
